I don't have much time and I'm limited to one hand right now, but I wanted to share a 10-week old pic!
Here is Grady with my friend Tenisha's little girl, Chloe. She and Grady are exactly 6 weeks apart. They love each other already!
Grady went for his well check appt yesterday. He is now 12 pounds (50th percentile) and 24 inches long (90th percentile!)....

Hi Ho, It's Back to Work We Go
So Tuesday was my first day back at work. Grady was supposed to go to the babysitter's house, but Mikey ended up keeping him at home. That definitely eased my mind and made my day at work much easier! He did go to the babysitter's house on Wednesday and I rushed out of work at 3 pm to go pick him up. Thursday morning, I took him myself and I cried all the way there and then all the way to school! I had to pack my makeup so I could reapply before I got to work! I'm sure he's fine... it's probably harder on me than on him! I enjoyed being back at work, seeing my students, and my friends. It's just hard to juggle both, especially when I am not getting a good night's sleep. Grady woke up at 4 am two days last week and by the time he finished nursing, it was time for me to get up... and he also still wakes up in the middle of the night, usually around 1 am. So I'm not sure if I'm doing my job effectively, but I am doing my best! Everyone says, isn't it a nice break to come to work? I think that is so funny to consider working a "break" from your child! While I do enjoy my job, I would MUCH rather be home with Grady. I feel like I am missing out. I look forward to the weekends, especially the morning time after Grady first wakes up, because that's his happiest time of the day. Now that I am back to work, I miss out on that.
Next week he'll be 10 weeks old and it will be time for his THREE month pictures in
just a few weeks. Time flies!

Man, Things Sure Have Changed...
I used to be so annoyed by these moms out there that would go out in public looking like they don't care one bit about their appearance. You know the type...sweatpants, slobber over their left hand shoulder, no makeup, hair up, tennis shoes, etc. They have their baby hanging to the front of them in one of those hippy slings or carriers. I would think, I'm sure they are busy, but can't they at least try???
Well, I thought it would never happen to me, but now I get it and I sure do empathize. Basically, I'm one of those moms. At this point, I'm lucky to have a quiet shower with time to shave my arm pits, let alone a full leg and of course the time for my 45 minute hair and make up routine. Forget the three shades of eyeshadow, perfectly layered and creased in the corner. I basically slap on a neutral shade and throw on a crooked line of eyeliner... crooked because I'm steadily using one foot to bounce Grady in his seat next to me on the floor and also because I'm merrily singing, "It's ok, mommy's almost done!!!"
As far as the clothes, well now I understand why they wear the elastic waist pants... two reasons- 1- they have no clean clothes, and 2- they only have two pairs of post maternity pants that fit and even those create fat spillage over the top.
My mani's/pedi's?? Long gone. I have short stubby nails now and calluses I need an electric sander to cure.
Oh, and those hippy baby carrier? I own one. It's great for cleaning, cooking, and folding laundry!
I've even typed this with only one hand while Grady eats. I'm lucky to have gotten this far.
So, all those size two, bleached blondes, full make-up, in style moms can kiss it. They must have a maid and a nanny. Oh yeah, and I'm sure they don't eat either.
But I sure do love my baby boy!

Requests...
I've had requests for more pictures, so here are some more! He looks the same in most of them, but maybe that's because I see him everyday.
And, yes, I agree Katie and Robin, he looks a lot like his Uncle Brian. Especially in the changing table picture. Robin, if you have some of Brian's baby pics, pull them out and compare!
Loves that tongue!
Everyone loves a sleeping baby... especially mama!
